Author: Carlos Ibarra

Carlos Ibarra serves as the Administrative Coordinator at the Center. He is a recent graduate of the CSU system where he was conferred dual degrees in Criminal Justice and Sociology. As an undergraduate, Carlos pursued spaces to openly discuss educational inequities, the achievement gap, and constitutional law. He believes an interdisciplinary lens provides a greater breadth and depth to social problems in America. Previously, Carlos served as a lead researcher at the Center for Research on Educational Access and Leadership at Cal State Fullerton. As a researcher, Carlos led the evaluation and research design of several federally funded K-16 student success grants impacting the local communities of color in Orange County. Upon graduation, Carlos transitioned into the Center for Powerful Public School because he wanted to continue working toward closing the achievement gap as an administrator. Currently, he collaborates with the Center’s staff to coordinate and organize various important events and workshops.
