As a service-provider we are often retained as consultants to lead customized school design and development processes that integrate curriculum and assessment design, governance, budget, staffing, and school scheduling. We work with our clients to design an accompanying professional development program that best fits each school’s unique needs and budget. In addition, we partner with school districts and universities to build their capacity to carry out reforms in public schools.
Partnership development is key to the work we do. We have partnered with UCLA and the US Department of Education on a 5-year multi-million dollar effort to create an 18-month residency program to better train urban teachers to lead STEM and early childhood education classrooms. Lessons learned from this project will be shared with the field and influence the future approach of teacher education at the UCLA Graduate School of Education and Information Studies. Currently we are supporting a new partnership between The Irvine Foundation and LAUSD to add Instructional Directors to LAUSD’s staff through a pass-through grant.
